Professor Robyn Tate
BA (Hons) MPsychol PhD

Robyn is a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist with degrees in Master of Psychology and Doctor of Philosophy. She has extensive clinical experience in rehabilitation after traumatic brain injury. Before joining the Rehabilitation Studies Unit, she was Senior Lecturer in the Psychology Department where she was involved in training graduate psychologists in clinical psychology and neuropsychology. Robyn’s main research activities involve evidence-based clinical practice, executive abilities after frontal systems dysfunction, post-traumatic amnesia and long-term outcome after traumatic brain injury. She collaborates with other neuropsychologists, allied health therapists, social workers and rehabilitation physicians. Robyn is the author of the Care and Needs Scale (CANS), the Sydney Psychosocial Reintegration Scale (SPRS) and is currently preparing a book: Measuring outcomes after acquired brain impairment: a compendium of screening tests, rating scale and questionnaires. She instigated and is Program Director of PsycBITETM, the Psychological Database of Brain Impairment Treatment Efficacy, which was launched on the internet in July 2004 (www.psycbite.com). In 1999, Robyn was appointed Founding Co-Editor of Brain Impairment, the official journal of the Australian Psychological Society for the Study of Brain Impairment.
