Ms Wendy Longley
BSc (Hons) MSc MA(Hons)

Wendy Longley is a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Multiple Sclerosis Limited (MSL). She works in partnership with the Rehabilitation Studies Unit one day a week as a Clinical Lecturer. She is about to embark upon a PhD (with Associate Professor Robyn Tate) exploring the worth of the neuropsychological assessment for four consumer groups: people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) undergoing neuropsychological assessments; their family and supporters; health professionals providing them with a service within the MS client services team; and their referring doctors from the community. However, before she embarks on this project she needs to finalise a paper she is writing with the support of the RSU on “MS-Related Dementia”. She has just had publishing success on another article she and other MSL colleagues wrote (also with the support of the RSU), entitled “Living a life with Multiple Sclerosis in New South Wales, Australia, at the Beginning of the21st Century: Impact of Mobility Disability” (Tribe, Longley, Fulcher et al, Int J MS Care, 2006;8:9-30). Wendy also runs the popular Neuropsychological Rehabilitation Interest Group, which is based in NSW but has members throughout Australia.
